Together Everyone Achieves More
When everyone on the team works towards a common goal, every player, parent, and coach will be more successful, and enjoy the game more. Kids play baseball because it is fun! Practice and games need to be enjoyable. Practice is fun when the it is varied and relevant. Kids don't want to stand around watching other kids practice hitting for hours at a time, they want to be the one hitting. Games are fun, win or lose, only if we do well.As coaches, and parents, we are here to ensure that the players have fun and learn to play the game of baseball. We will focus on learning the skills of baseball and teamwork. We will stress the priorities of family, school, and then Little League. We will be an example to the players for behavior and effort. If we expect something from the players, we can't just tell them, we have to show them!

1. General rulesa. Attendance at practices and games is mandatory. If you are unable to attend a practice or game, phone the manager, coach or a team parent to notify the team of the reason for your absence. When a player misses a practice or game without notifying the manager, coach or a team parent, the absence is unexcused. Unexcused absences will result in reduced playing time, or even suspensions.b. Do not borrow other players equipment without their permission.
c. Players must show respect and courtesy towards the manager, coaches, umpires, team parents and other players. Foul language and "back talk" will not be tolerated (including any negative behavior displayed at games or practice). Failure to follow this rule will result in disciplinary action.
2. Uniforms
a. You are required to wear clean, full uniforms at each game. This includes belt, hat, socks, cleats and glove.b. Boys must wear an athletic supporter. If you are a catcher you will need a hard cup, other players can wear a soft cup. We will sometimes do a cup check--no cup, no play.
c. No jewelry (rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, earrings) or headbands can be worn. Pitchers cannot wear white gloves, wristbands, or sleeves.
d. Only a blue baseball shirt or sweatshirt can be worn beneath your jersey. On cool days dress warmly, especially if you are a pitcher! A lot of sore arms develop because players dress improperly in cool or windy weather.
e. Uniforms must be worn properly. Jerseys are tucked inside the pants at all times. A player who is improperly dressed or missing part of his uniform is ineligible to play.
f. Pitchers should wear a blue long-sleeve or three-quarter-sleeve shirt under their uniform jersey. During games, pitchers are expected to wear a light jacket or windbreaker between innings.
3. Field Conduct
a. Warnings and Ejection's--If you disagree with an umpire's call, keep your opinion to yourself. Do not throw or kick your bat, helmet, or the dugout fence. Do not argue, mouth off, or glare at an umpire. If you talk back to an umpire, you will receive an immediate warning from the manager. Two warnings in the same game, and you are automatically ejected. If ejected, you will be required to attend a disciplinary review hearing. Two ejections and you are suspended for the remainder of the season.b. Hustle! Run on and off the field. If you are hustling, we should be on the field before the other team is off and we should be off the field before the other team takes the field.
4. Dugout Behavior
a. Stay alert and involved in the game. Being in the dugout is game time not break time. Keep your focus on the field and the game that we are playing.b. Players are expected to show support for each other at all times. THIS IS A TEAM EFFORT. We will win, lose, and play as a team.
c. No dugout visitation with friends or family. You can visit with them after the game is completed.
d. No food, or soda in the dugout. Eat before you come to the field, or after the game. Gatorade, Powerade, and Water are o.k. as is gum.

1.Understand your players commitment to the team. Make sure they do not miss practices or games. The game plan involves your player.a. Be on time to practice. The stretches and warm ups guard against injuries, as well as teach skills and build teamwork.b. Be at games 40 minutes before game time to stretch, warm up, and review strategies.
2.Be part of the team by doing something to help, every bit helps.
3. Parents should limit themselves to positive comments AT ALL TIMES. This includes comments directed to their child, team-mates, other teams, and umpires. Should any parent have questions, problems, or comments, please direct them to the manager or coaches.
4. Parents are welcome at practice. Parents may watch or participate in practices, and all skill levels are welcome. (Ask one of the coches what you can do). At practice as well as games try not to coach your child. It confuses them if coaches tell them something different. If you have a comment about coaching, playing time, etc., approach the coach privately before or after practice or games.
5. Do not harass players or umpires during games, it embarrasses the team and your child. Remember opposing players are someone else's child also.
6.You and your child have made a commitment by signing up to play Little League. The coach expects 100% from both players and family. When other activities take a higherpriority, talk to the coach.
